What are the ways to develop strong positive thinking? This question will come to everyone’s mind. Like a small key can open a very strong lock. In a similar way, the solution for cultivating positive thinking lies in the brain itself. What we think we will do. In the same way, what we do will affect our brain also.
To understand it more clearly, when we keep on going on the same way in a forest, where there was no path. Then after some time, a path will emerge due to our repeated walking. Likewise, when we do certain work, our emotions are affected by that. And these emotions will imprint a path on the brain. And our attitude will develop.
Now what is happening with most of us in everyday life is affecting us. The workload, responsibility, and time crunch will force us to go under stress. This mental stress will try to come out in frustration, anger and so many negative ways. These negative ways leads to negative attitude and thinking.
Now, the question is how to come out of this negative attitude. How to control our mind from negative thoughts. If we can control our minds. Then, many problems in our life will be reduced. To understand and appreciate it in a better way, i will give a small example.
Be positive. Your mind is more powerful than you think. What is down in the well comes up in the bucket. Fill yourself with positive things.
I am not Beautiful Girl- it kills positive thinking
There was a beautiful girl. She has a very beautiful fair face, but she had a small mole on her face. She was very cautious about her beauty. But the black mole always bothers her. Whenever she will see the mirror, her first attention will go to the mole. It seems that the size of the mole is engulfing her beautiful face and her mind. She was not happy with her beauty, but sad about the mole. Every day she thinks about the mole and she will get upset.
Now, what is the reason for this unhappiness, this sadness? Whether this unhappiness is due to the mole? Why I am asking this question to you. The answer to this question is the destination of happiness. If you can understand the answer then, most of the trouble in your life will vanish in the air. It will free our minds of negative thinking. We can have positive thinking.
I Can kill Negative Thoughts by reading a lot of Books
There was a man, he used to read a lot of books , dharmic texts, to become happy. Still he was not happy. He will keep on thinking that after reading a lot of books also, the negative thinking is not going anywhere. Like a permanent guest, it has settled in his mind. When nothing happened. At last, he went to a sage, who used to live away from city in a small ashram. The man told him everything about his negative thinking and sadness. The sage felt pity on him and gave him lectures and advices. The man stayed in the Ashram for a long time. He used to interact a lot with sage and got a lot of knowledge. However, still he was unhappy .
The magical pond- solace of positive thinking
Sage always felt pity for the man. Then one day he decided on a way to answer the man’s questions. The next day, the Sage told the man to take bath in the pond in front of Ashram. While saying so, the sage told him, once you will take the bath three times in that pond, you will get your answer. But remember one thing, when you are taking the bath, don’t even think about the monkey, which is sitting on the nearby tree. If you do that, you will not get the knowledge and will not be satisfied. Then, the man told, for the past 5 years of living in the ashram, i never thought ab out the monkey, so don’t worry.
The man jumps in to the pond, and he took his first bath. During first bath, he was thinking about the monkey. Then, he took second bath. During this time also, he thought of monkey what sage has told not to think of. For the third time also, he was thinking about monkey.
Mind attracts negative…
After that day , he came out of the ashram. But for a few days, whatever he do, he will always think of monkey. He was thinking why he thought of monkey while taking bath in that pond. With these questions, he went to ashram of the sage and explained him everything. After listening to man’s questions. He told him, that the nature of our mind is like this. Our mind is like a small children. If we stop a child to do certain thing, he will always do that thing.
Our mind is also like a small child. When we think of not thinking about a particular thing, then our mind will goes in that direction. When we think, we will stay away from negativity, at that time we will be thinking about negativity only. This will inculcate that negative thoughts in us. That’s why we should only think what we always want to do. What is better for us, follow that only. Always we should concentrate on that. Then you will slowly forget thinking about negative.
Now think of our question regarding beautiful girl. What you think, whether she is beautiful or not. She was beautiful, but sad about the mole. She was only thinking about the negative- the mole, which is just a small part. But she forgets that how beautiful she is.
Make positive strong by making negative weak
We are always sad about what we don’t have. But we should always be happy what we have. Being a positive person, do not mean that we should have everything. The happiness in what we have will make us happy and a positive person.
